Kam Lung Motors (KLM) Kia's official distributor in Hong Kong has launched the PV5 electric vehicle, offering a five-seat passenger car version alongside two and five-seat commercial van variants.
All versions are equipped with a 71.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and a single-motor front-wheel-drive configuration, providing a WLTP driving range of 412 km.
The passenger car version carries a one-for-one trade-in indicative price of HKD 369,800 (US$ 47,515), while the commercial van variants are exempt from the first registration tax, with prices starting from HKD 299,800.
Both PV5 variants are manufactured in South Korea and are available for pre-order, with first deliveries expected in the first quarter of the year.
Kam Lung Motors, Kia's Hong Kong distributor, previewed the PV5 at the 2025 Hong Kong Auto Show (IMXpo). The MPV is offered locally in two main forms: a five-seat private passenger version and commercial van variants with either two or five seats.
Based on the group's E-GMP.S dedicated electric van platform, the PV5 measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,923 mm in height, with a 2,995 mm wheelbase and a kerb weight of 2,145 kg. Power is delivered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque. The PV5 supports 150 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10 to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.
The five-seat PV5 passenger car version includes dual power sliding doors and a smart power tailgate as standard, faux-leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a 360-degree camera, active safety assistance systems, a 7.5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch central touchscreen. Its indicative one-for-one trade-in price starts at HKD 369,800. Kam Lung Motors has confirmed that a seven-seat version will be introduced later this year, with pricing to be announced.
The PV5 commercial van is available in two- and five-seat configurations, with indicative pricing from HKD 299,800. While it shares the same mechanical specification as the passenger version, equipment levels are simplified. Power sliding doors and the power tailgate are not included, and the front seats are manually adjustable, although power adjustment is available as an option. The van retains active safety systems and a 360-degree camera. Payload capacity is rated at 665 kg for the two-seat version and 455 kg for the five-seat variant.
