The new 4th-generation Changan CS75 Plus crossover has entered the Chinese market as a family-friendly ICE vehicle, priced at CNY 121,900 (US$ 17,370). It features an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a dashboard design inspired by the MBUX Hyperscreen.
To maintain strong demand, Changan has now launched the 4th-generation CS75 Plus.
The new CS75 Plus adopts a fresh design language, featuring large headlights, a trapezoidal grille painted in the body colour, and a sizeable air intake integrated into the front bumper. Other exterior highlights include retractable door handles, a flat roofline, and an LED taillight strip at the rear.
The crossover's updated styling bears a strong resemblance to Changan's Uni series models (Uni-K, Uni-T, Uni-Z), although the CS75 Plus formally remains part of the more mature CS line. The vehicle rides on 19-inch wheels, with dimensions measuring 4,770 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,695 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
Inside, the new CS75 Plus adopts a minimalist design, with no physical buttons on the centre console or tunnel. Instead, it features a cluster of three screens (a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch main screen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger) reminiscent of Mercedes-Benz's MBUX Hyperscreen. The gear shifter is positioned behind the two-spoke steering wheel, another design element inspired by Mercedes vehicles.
The CS75 Plus includes two wireless charging pads and a ''zero-gravity'' front passenger seat, which reclines to promote a neutral spinal posture. The seat also features an electrically adjustable leg rest. Furthermore, the vehicle supports Level 2 driving assistance, including autonomous parking and adaptive cruise control.
Powertrain and Pricing The new Changan CS75 Plus is currently available with a 1.5-litre engine delivering 141 kW (189 PS) and 310 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. A 2-litre ICE variant is set to launch in December this year.
The 4th-generation CS75 Plus is offered in two trim levels, priced between CNY 121,900 and 129,900, making it a relatively affordable family vehicle.
