After several years with only one electrified model in its local lineup, Nissan Philippines has expanded its electrification plans by previewing three new models at the ongoing 2026 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
Alongside the official market launch of the all-new X-Trail e-Power, Nissan Philippines showcased the new Kicks e-Power, the Navara Pro PHEV and the Primera EV. The three models feature different levels of electrification aimed at meeting a range of mobility needs.
New Kicks e-Power
The new Kicks e-Power is scheduled to launch in the Philippine market in August. First unveiled globally at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) earlier this year, the updated model retains its existing platform while receiving significant exterior and interior revisions.
The crossover continues to use a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that functions as a generator, charging a lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor. Output remains unchanged at 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque.
Exterior updates include redesigned front and rear fascias with sharper lighting signatures, along with a new 17-inch wheel design. Inside, the model features upgraded materials, improved seat ergonomics, a redesigned dashboard, a larger infotainment display and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Navara Pro PHEV
The Navara Pro PHEV marks Nissan's entry into the electrified pickup segment.
Developed through Nissan's joint venture with Dongfeng in China, the model will be marketed in the Philippines as the Navara Pro rather than the Frontier Pro. Its design incorporates a retro-inspired profile and a distinctive three-slot lighting signature influenced by the D21 Hardbody pickup.
The cabin features large digital displays for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system, while retaining Nissan branding throughout the interior.
Built on a ladder-frame chassis, the Navara Pro PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and a large lithium-ion battery. The powertrain produces a combined 408 PS and 800 Nm of torque.
The pickup is also equipped with vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing it to supply electricity to external devices. It retains a mechanical all-wheel-drive system, multiple drive modes and a rear locking differential.
Primera EV
The Primera EV will replace the Leaf as Nissan's primary battery-electric offering. Known as the N7 in China, it is also developed through the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture.
The sedan features an aerodynamic design and dimensions measuring 4,930 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, 1,487 mm in height and a 2,915 mm wheelbase. Exterior features include 19-inch alloy wheels and full LED lighting.
Inside, the Primera EV offers a premium cabin with power-adjustable seats, a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 12-speaker audio system, leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.
Power comes from a single electric motor producing 218 PS and 305 Nm of torque. A 60 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
The model is also equipped with Nissan's ProPilot semi-autonomous driving system, six airbags and a range of Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety and driver-assistance technologies.
Nissan Philippines said the Navara Pro PHEV and Primera EV are expected to be launched in the local market in the fourth quarter of 2026. Both models will remain on display at the Nissan booth during PIMS 2026, which runs from June 4th to June 7th at the World Trade Center.
