SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) Motor Indonesia partnered with Browns EV, the new energy vehicle division of Browns Group, to deliver the Wuling Binguo EV and Cloud EV to their initial customers in Colombo, Sri Lanka, according to SGMW's announcement on 4th September.

The delivery ceremony, held at Browns EV's showroom, marked a significant milestone in SGMW's expansion into the South Asian market.

Kapila, Managing Director of Browns Group, stated that Browns EV aims to establish a comprehensive ecosystem enabling Sri Lankans to adopt green mobility with confidence.

Leveraging Browns Group's diversified businesses, customers will have access not only to SGMW vehicles but also to integrated financial, insurance, aftersales, and charging services.

SGMW will collaborate with Browns Group to develop a complete EV ecosystem in Sri Lanka, providing affordable and high-quality green mobility solutions for local users.

In 2025, SGMW Indonesia intends to increase exports through a "product + service + technology" strategy.

Its right-hand-drive export operations currently cover 20 markets, including three new markets added in 2025.
