Volvo Car Taiwan previewed its 2026 product line-up at a media gathering last October.
Following confirmation with the manufacturer, it has been verified that the facelifted XC60 will be the first model to launch in 2026.
Originally scheduled to arrive in Taiwan late last year, the second facelift of the XC60 is now set to debut. According to enquiries with dealers and the manufacturer's headquarters, sales consultant training will commence in March, with an official market launch expected in April.
Consumers planning to purchase a luxury mid-size SUV after the Lunar New Year may consider this model.
The current-generation XC60 was first introduced in 2017. Following its larger sibling, the XC90, it received a second facelift in February 2025 to extend its product lifecycle.
Externally, it features a new diagonal-pattern grille similar to that of the XC90, along with revised alloy wheel designs and darkened tail-lamp accents.
New exterior colours include lakeside green, aurora silver and mulberry red.
Inside, the overall layout remains largely unchanged. The main update is the Google-based infotainment display, enlarged from 9 inches to 11.2 inches, with a 21% increase in pixel density.
It adopts the latest user interface shared with the EX30 and the XC90, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Officially, system operation speed is stated to be twice as fast, while graphics rendering is claimed to be ten times quicker.
The centre console layout has been revised, with the wireless charging pad relocated forward to provide additional space for cupholders. In addition, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system is available as an option, featuring metal speaker grilles.
