The MGS5 EV has been officially launched in Indonesia, with orders for this electric SUV open from January 30th to February 4th, 2026.

Jason Huang, Chief Executive Officer of MG Motor Indonesia, stated that the company is offering a range of vehicles meeting global standards and designed to be suitable for daily use in Indonesia.

He further added, "The launch begins with an electric vehicle that combines technology with Brit Dynamic's design and performance, embodied in the MGS5 EV."

Following its premiere at GIIAS 2025, the MGS5 EV carries the tagline 'Because Everyone Matters', positioned as an electric SUV for family mobility.

The MGS5 EV is equipped with a responsive powertrain architecture, a rear-wheel drive configuration, a 5-link independent rear suspension system, balanced load distribution, and several driving functions.

Safety and security features are included in the vehicle, which has reportedly achieved high safety ratings across three continents: Euro NCAP, ASEAN NCAP, and Australia NCAP.

The vehicle includes a system that allows remote access to functions such as cabin temperature control (pre-conditioning) via a smartphone.

The MGS5 EV features a Motion Comfort System, a cabin with seating for multiple passengers, second-row seating, a panoramic sunroof, and storage capacity. A Smart Multimedia Head Unit with online services is provided through a 12.8-inch display, with V2L connectivity for external device use.

Pre-bookings for the MGS5 EV were open from January 30th to February 4th, 2026.
