Honda Vietnam (HVN) has announced a series of events to introduce new products in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on September 7th, 2024.
According to the image from the Japanese company, the scooter set to be launched in Vietnam is likely the Honda Lead 2025.
At the end of August, 2024, the new Honda Lead version series became available at authorised dealers. HVN has not simply updated the style of the existing model or added new colours and decorative elements as usual. Instead, the Lead 2025 introduces significant improvements in utility and safety equipment.
The most notable enhancement is the inclusion of an ABS anti-lock braking system on the front wheel, similar to the Yamaha Grande.
Other modifications are related to the design and usability features of the model, while the specifications and 125 cc eSP+ engine are expected to remain the same as the previous scooter.
The price of the Honda Lead 2025 is expected to be higher than the previous model, which was priced between VND 39.6 and 42.8 million. Many customers are eagerly awaiting the exact price, as the new model has been available for pre-order over the past two weeks.
Besides competing with the Yamaha Grande, which is priced between VND 46 and 51.5 million, the Lead 125 will also face competition from the SYM Tuscany, priced at VND 45 million, within the small-wheel scooter segment around VND 40 million.
The last time HVN launched a new scooter model was nearly a year ago with the introduction of the genuine Honda Vario 125 imported from Indonesia. Since then, the manufacturer has introduced new colours for the SH Mode and Air Blade, updating the scooter product range in Vietnam.
