Another model under the MForce Bike Holdings umbrella will arrive in Malaysia next year: the 2025 SYM Husky ADV 300. Unveiled during the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMA 2024), the Husky ADV 300 is set to compete with the Honda ADV 350 (MYR 33,900/US$ 8,200) in the Malaysian market.
Using the Joyride 300 scooter as its foundation, the Husky ADV 300 is styled as an ''adventure'' scooter, a popular segment in Malaysia. Its bodywork and design closely follow the SYM Husky 150, which is priced at MYR 9,998 in the local scooter market.
As the name suggests, the Husky ADV 300 comes with a larger engine a single-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled unit displacing 278 cc and fed by EFI. With Euro 5 certification, the Husky ADV 300 produces 25.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 26 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, delivered to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox.
In comparison, the Honda ADV 350 is powered by a single-cylinder, SOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine, producing 29 PS at 7,500 rpm and 31.9 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. The Husky ADV 300 features asymmetrical wheel sizing, with a 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, fitted with 120/70 and 140/70 tyres, respectively.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, adjustable for spring preload. Braking is managed by single hydraulic discs on both the front and rear wheels, with two-channel ABS and traction control as standard equipment.
Rider conveniences include a 7-inch TFT-LCD instrument panel, USB-A and USB-C charging sockets, a smart key, and an LED projector headlight. The fuel tank holds 16 litres, while the windshield is manually adjustable for height.
