VoI, 10 Oct '25
Hyundai Motors Indonesia has confirmed that three new vehicles are scheduled for launch towards the end of 2025.
This information was provided by Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors Indonesia, who stated that the upcoming models will include different powertrains, specifically internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), and electric vehicle (EV) variants.
He noted that the company is awaiting a government policy expected to be issued in 2026, which may influence the launch plans.
The comments were made during the MoU signing event between Hyundai and Persija Jakarta.
Details regarding the specific models to be launched were not disclosed. Previously, Hyundai had registered the Hyundai Ioniq 9 on the NJKB (Motorised Vehicle Selling Price) website, with a base price of IDR 699 million (US$ 41,940) at the Jakarta Samsat office.
It should be noted that this price is for tax calculation purposes and does not include sales tax (PPNBM), logistics costs, or dealer margins, which means the final price is expected to be higher.
Regarding the potential launch of the Ioniq 9, no confirmation was provided, as the company is awaiting the government's final regulations.
Hyundai is currently evaluating which models will be introduced in Indonesia by the end of 2025, in alignment with upcoming 2026 government regulations concerning environmental and fuel efficiency policies.
