At the preview of the MG5 and MG HS on 22nd August 2024, SAIC Motor Malaysia announced plans to expand its dealership network through 2025.
Currently, there are 14 MG dealerships in Malaysia, all located in Peninsular Malaysia, serving customers in the northern, central, and southern regions.
In 2024, five new outlets are expected to open, including the first in Perak and two in Sarawak, marking MG's entry into East Malaysia.
An additional 16 outlets are planned, which would bring the total number to 35 by 2025, including locations in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Sabah.
Aftersales servicing is currently available at eight locations, with one more set to be added soon. It was not specified how many of the 16 upcoming outlets will offer aftersales support.
MGÂ?s current model line-up includes the MG4 and ZS, both electric vehicles (EVs). With the launch of the MG5 and HS (both internal combustion engine vehicles), the range will increase to four models.
This will further expand to five with the introduction of the Cyberster, an electric sports car.
