Mitsubishi launches New Grandis in Malaysia

The distributor of Mitsubishi cars in Malaysia, MMM (Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia) has launched another variant of the hugely successful MPV Mitsubish Grandis.

It now comes with a double din entertainment system and a 6.1 inch LCD touch screen system. The head unit, apart from being the audio system controller also provides GPS navigation system as well as the video on engaging the reverse gear.

Apart from that, it also comes with xenon headlamps which have automatic leveling capabilities. Other new standard add ons include the keyless entry and start-stop system, a powered tailgate and roof rails. Sound is powered up through its 6 speaker system mounted in and around the cabin.

Priced at RM 165,427 (US$ 50,000), it is now about RM 5,000 more (previously it was priced at RM 160,557). It has the 4G69 engine which is powered up by the 2.4 litre MIVEC SOHC 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that gets you up to 163 horsepower and 217 Nm of torque. It also includes 17 inch alloy wheels.

This is a 7 seater and comes with 5 different colours. It also comes with a 5 years or 100,000 kilometers warranty whichever comes first. It has the high-mount LED stop lamp at its rear spoiler, leather strapped steering wheel and gear knobs.

Standard safety instruments include ABS and EBD, seatbelt pretensioners, and 2 airbags for the front passengers. Apart from that, it also has anti-intrusion brake pedal designed to collapse in case of accident to avoid injury for the driver.

Typically, the new Grandis was designed for comfort and luxury of the driver and the passengers where there are a string of features which makes this model very convenient which includes a rear-manual air-conditioner as well as an 8 inch LDC monitor mounted on the roof.
